Professional Services Engineer II

A Professional Services Engineer works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives and overcome problems.· Professional Service Engineers work to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization's IT systems.

Professional Service Engineers may be involved in a variety of activities, including marketing, project management, client relationship management and systems development.· They may also be responsible for user training and feedback.· In many companies, these tasks will be carried out by and IT project team.· Professional Services Engineers from time to time are involved in sales and business development, as well as regular technical duties.

Must be self-motivated with a proven track record of knowledge of server, desktop and virtualization, but not limited to, technology.· Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.· Must possess strong customer management skills and be able to communicate professionally in written response to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports or documentation.· Organized and analytical, able to eliminate technical obstacles through either methodical or creative and adaptive approaches.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Meeting with clients to determine requirements

Working with clients to define the scope of a project

Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business

Travelling to customer sites

Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization

Defining software, hardware and network requirements

Analyzing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT

Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems

Presenting solutions in written or oral efforts

Helping clients with change-management activities

Project managing the design and implementation of preferred solutions

Designing, testing, and·installing new systems

Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers

Organizing training for users and other consultants

Being involved in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organizations

Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.

Expected qualifications:

3-5 years experience.· BS preferred in Computer Science or related field.· Certifications: CCNA, CCA, CCAA, MCP.·

Local New England travel required.

Inside Sales Representative - Commercial Accounts

Maintain and develop a territory within the commercial sector.· Works with Account Executives and Service and Support staff to help achieve quota by preparing quotes, managing vendor programs, processing orders and all related follow-up to ensure territory growth.· Be able to communicate and articulate product features, benefits, and overall product solutions and respond to customer inquiries by recommending appropriate products and solutions.· Develops and maintains mutually profitable customer relationships to ensure highest possible levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Call on new and existing accounts within a designated territory.

Demonstrate CBE value proposition to target account list.

Responsible for quote preparation, deal registrations, sales order processing and contract set up and renewals.

Understands customer's technology needs and requirements.

Knows when to leverage internal and external resources such as third parties to provide complete solutions.

Achieve manufacturer’s sales certifications as appropriate.

Utilize CBE CRM system to drive territory growth.

Provides timely response to customer's needs.

Utilizes company tools with efficiency and accuracy.·

Maintains product and program knowledge by participating in on-going professional development programs and trainings.

Responsible for taking identified business needs and bills of material and providing a quote based on existing contracts and vendor programs.

Meets or exceeds company standards and timelines.

Establishes timeline objectives with other members of the Account Team.

Attends all team meetings.

Attends conferences and shows as appropriate.

Contribute to the team success by managing and administering all timelines and deadlines thereby accelerating placement of orders and payment for said product and services.

Build relationships with key vendor representatives to facilitate communication and effectiveness.

Expected qualifications:

3 or more years experience preferred.· Bachelor's Degree preferred.
